Izzo Light Instruments

The Izzo Light range of Brazilian percussion instruments consists of a series of lightweight instruments at a much lower price while maintaining the quality of the brand. These characteristics make them perfect for percussion schools or to also be used by children and teenagers. They also become an ideal instrument for batuqueros with back problems as they are much lighter than standard line surdos.

These types of light surdos are made with a lighter aluminum sheet to reduce their weight. This makes them slightly less robust than their regular Izzo series counterparts.

If you prefer to do without the harmonics of the head, you can choose to put a double-layer head on it or stick a strip of foam on the inside of the surdo just below the beater head just as many afro blocos from Salvador de Bahia do.

The surdo case with code ORT-6929 works, although we recommend using a slightly wider case like the ORT-6270 to facilitate the mobility of the instrument.
